ccording to inf1, a member on PSX-Scene.com, has found a solution to running games that have files larger than 4GB from an external Hard Drive. Due to FAT32 limitations users needed to run these games from internal hard drive only. However, it seems that isn’t the only option anymore. Many games utilize a file format known as PSARC (*.psarc) These files ending in .psarc are archive files similar to zip or rar files on PC. By extracting these large archive files and using the smaller files that are inside, users can get stay under the 4GB limit. This method has been tested on Uncharted II, and will only work on games utilizing the psarc file format.

Anleitung: (von mir Übersetzt)

1) download PSARC.zip (link oben)
2) Entpacke zlib.net.dll und PSARC.exe.
3) Suche alle dateien über 4Gb, zum Beispiel: \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\build\main\pak22.psarc (5 596 444 529 byte)
4) Kopiere pak22.psarc in den selben Ordner wie zlib.net.dll und PSARC.exe.
5) Entpacke die pak22.psarc (einfach per drag-and-drop die pak22.psarc in die PSARC.exe ziehen)
6) Jetzt kopiere den pak22 folder mit den entpackten Dateien in den Spielordner zurück (In diesem Beispiel:\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\build\main\)
7) Jetzt kannst du die un entpackte Datei (Bsp.:pak22.psarc) löschen.
8 ) kopiere den PS3_GAME Ordner mit dem spiel auf deine externe fat32 usb hdd GAMEZ\Uncharted2\
9) nutze den BUM um das spiel zu laden, es sollte funktionieren.
