Ich habe hier derzeit High Sierra 10.13.3 unter anderem auf einem MacBook (13-inch, Late 2009). Download&Installation erfolgte über den App Store/Festplatte. Läuft einwandfrei, obwohl OS High Sierra "Late 2009" garnicht offiziell unterstützt.
