Hallo

Ich habe mir die iATKOS S3 Snow Leopard 10.6.3 + Patch geladen und installiert. Es läuft auch alles hervorragend bis auf den Sound.

Soundchip ist der Realtek ALC889A

Ich habe mich schon bemüht, den richtigen Kext und Anleitung zu finden, jeodch werde Ich darus nicht schlau. Könnt ihr mir sagen, was mit dieser englsicehn Anleitung gemeint ist oder könnt ihr mir erklären wie Ich einen Kext für meine Soundkarte installieren kann?

Bisher hatte Ich immer nur negative Erfolge, sprich ihn hier:

First, the newest "driver" for ALC889A is the version of the AppleHDA.kext that comes with every new update of the version of os x. (the AppleHDA.kext doesn't need any binary patching, works vanilla/untouched, therefore works in any 10.6.x)

Second, you only need these two kexts in Extra/Extensions (just copy them there). Before, remove any LegacyHDA, HDAEnabler, VoodooHDA kext or similar from E/E or S/L/E (move them to trash)

-use the LegacyHDA for 4outs2ins and the HDAEnabler

Third you can even go further and remove the HDAEnabler kext from E/E, if you know how to proper edit the dsdt.aml file
