Click Click Boom! here, releasing a tutorial on how to downgrade your PS3 on 3.56 OFW. This is a very easy process. This may take you 10 to 30 minutes to complete.

what you will need is:

-Winrar on your PC or mac
-These downloads that I will provide at the bottom of this thread.
-A PS3 on 3.56 OFW
-A brain

BTW: This will not cause The Yellow Light of Hell(or Death)

Just some advice, I would consider making a back up if you don't want to lose anything.

Steps:

Auto Brick Method

1. First you have to be auto brick you PS3 to install any FW. So you are going to get the .PUP fill that I provide at the bottom were the downloads are.

2. Download the file and rename it PS3UPDAT.PUP.

3. You put the file in a series of files. Like so PS3>UPDATE>Then the .PUP file goes in here.

4. Place the USB in the USB port closest to the Disc Drive(Far Right).

5. Go to the system update selection on your home menu. Click via Media Storage Device. Then install it.

6. Your PS3 will now be bricked. You are now entering the seconded part of this procedure.

or

For people who can't get the auto brick working, there is another way. First go to system update via internet. There is going to be another 3.56 update. Update it, then at 10% of INSTALLING, yank the cord from the back you(power cord). This should work 100%.

These should happen and it means you PS3 is bricked:
It will have a black screen.
Doesn't do anything.

Installing Files to Downgrade

1. Format a USB device to fat32. Make sure their is nothing on the USB device, or this will not work. Extract the lv2 file from folder 1, and place it on your USB device along with the Firmware you chose.(**Place these to the route of your USB with no other files. Just these two files. The Lv2 file 1 and the FW you selected.**)

Part 1 of Downgrade

2. Insert your USB device into the Right-Most USB port on your PS3. (Closest to the Disc Drive) Turn your PS3 on, and your screen will be black. Wait for a little bit, and your PS3 will turn itself off. If it fails to turn off within 25 minutes, turn it off manually.

Part 2 of Downgrade

1. Turn your PS3 back on, and you'll see the recovery menu. Once you know you see the recovery menu, go ahead and turn your PS3 off. Now, unplug the USB device from the PS3, and insert it into the USB port onto your PC. Erase everything off of your USB. Extract the lv2 file from folder 2 and place it on your root of your USB device.(**Onto the route of the USB. No other files. Just the Lv2 file 2. Only that one!**)

2. Insert your USB device back into the Right-Most USB port. Now, turn your PS3 on, it will be unbricked with the firmware you chose.
