2 oscillators: saw, pulse, tri. Oscillator 1 is tunable by range. Oscillator 2 is

tunable by semitone and detune. Oscillator 2 can also be sync to oscillator 1.

Audio sources also include a dedicated noise and sub-base oscillator. The sub-base is

tunable and selectable between pulse and sine waveforms.

Two filters. Filter 1 is a 24db low pass. Filter 2 is selectable between band-pass and

303 type filter. Filters are run in parallel and the level is controlled by a mix pot.

Two envelopes. Envelope 1 is selectable between ADSR and ADR and features a 2x

selection to increase the amount. Envelope 2 is selectable between ADSR and DR.

Cameleon 5000 is an additive synth, featuring resynthesis
and sound morphing, which excels at pads and evolving
textures and comes with a library of over 800 presets. At
its heart is the morph square which allows you to morph
between four different instruments at once. You can also
use the morph timeline to create rhythmic loops, evolving
soundscapes and pads. Uniquely, Cameleon comes with a range
of preset morph timelines, to make creating new sounds even

Cameleon can import sampled sounds (WAV/AIFF) into any of
the four voice slots, or you can choose from the extensive
range of built-in voices. Cameleon has many unique
features: it breaks sounds down into both a harmonic and
noise component, for much higher quality and greater
flexibility. No other additive synth is able to perform
multi-sampling resynthesis. Cameleon's realistic and
expressive sounds are unparalleled.

Cameleon also allows you to import image (BMP) files and
turn them into sounds. This provides an extremely powerful
way to design never-heard-before sounds. If you're ever
stuck for inspiration, just try loading up any picture -
perhaps a photo of your mum!

Once you've imported a sound you can edit it in ways which
would be impossible with a conventional sampler. You have
independent control over each of the harmonics, so you can
(for example) boost all the odd harmonics - or even draw
your own harmonic spectra!

Every part of Cameleon's interface has been designed with
ease of use in mind; the 'Easy' page is just one example.
On the Easy page you'll find simple but powerful controls
to quickly shape the sound, including changing the balance
of harmonics and noise, adding LFOs, or editing the
amplitude envelope. You can also use the unique 'stretch'
parameter to time-stretch sounds in real-time without the
loss in quality associated with sampled instruments.

Cameleon has a comprehensive set of effects, including a
sweepable formant filter, distortion, compression, chorus,
delay and reverb. Cameleon is supplied with over 800
presets, all arranged into categories (pads, leads, basses,
and so on). If you're after instant inspiration, just
select the type of sound you require (eg. rhythmics) and
hit the random button to get an entirely new random
rhythmic loop! Cameleon also comes with a well-written
manual including tutorials and tips on getting the best out
of it.

Miles'tone - Virtual Trumpet

Miles'tone is a simulation of a trumpet.
It is based on a mixed use of traditional synthesis (oscillators, filters) and physical modeling synthesis (tuned delay lines, resonators), but more importantly it reflects the behaviour of a real trumpet, reacts to pitch changes and air pressure in a very natural way, and has a nice and warm timbre.
It has been conceived to work with a Wind Controller but it can also be played with a traditional MIDI keyboard thanks to the built-in dedicated envelope generator.

Miles'tone doesn't use any samples.

Panel Controls
MIN. EXP. / MAX. EXP.
Set respectively the minimum and the maximum air pressure which can pass through the tube. You can also consider these as the minimum and the maximum volume levels, even though the EXPRESSION parameter doesn't affect just volume, it also reflects on the timbre and many other aspects of the instrument.

RESONANCE
Establishes the quantity of residual air that remains inside the tube before a new note is played. This also may increase or decrease the presence of certain articulations.

AIR NOISE
Adjusts the level of the air noise you hear along with the trumpet's sound. According to the playing style and the microphone positioning (in a real recording session), a trumpet may contain more or less air effect.

BEND RANGE
The total range of the pitch bender. An expert trumpet player may easily execute fast pitch changes (also known as "glissando") even wider than a full octave.

TYPE SELECTION
Click the icon to switch between a normal (unmuted trumpet) and a muted trumpet sound. The muted sound simulates the use of a "Harmon mute".

EXPRESSION
AT: Aftertouch. CC: Continuous Controller.
Choose the type of controller you wish to use for the expression parameter. If you set it to CC, also choose the appropriate CC number.

VIBRATO
AT: Aftertouch. CC: Continuous Controller.
Choose the type of controller you wish to use for the vibrato effect. If you set it to CC, also choose the appropriate CC number.

EXTERNAL CTRL / INTERNAL EG
If you want to use an external physical controller (eg.: a wind controller) for the expression parametter, set this to EXTERNAL. Otherwise, set it to INTERNAL and use the built-in envelope generator.

A / D1 / BP / D2 / AIR
A: Attack
D1: Decay 1 - the first decay time, usually quite short.
BP: Break Point - the halfway point between the first and the second decay.
D2: Decay 2 - the final decay stage, usually quite long (depends on how much air remains in the players's lungs and mouth).

INSTRUMENT POSITION
Use this X/Y Pad to position your virtual trumpet in an imaginary room, close or distant from the two microphones.

ROOM SIZE
Set the size of the virtual room. Set this at minimum for an average studio size environment (about 80 square feet).

MID BOOST
Just like an equalizer, this gives more punch to the medium frequencies and slightly warms up the timbre.

AUTO VIBRATO
Sets the effect of automatic vibrato. The more loud you play, wider is the vibrato. Set here the maximum width.

VELOCITY LPF
A gentle low-pass filter is controlled by MIDI velocity, in order to soften notes when playing softly.
When set to zero, this feature is completely switched off.

MPL-1 is a High Precision Mastering Limiter made for mastering and other purposes where the highest accuracy and quality are demanded. The MPL-1 uses an oversampled peak detecting algorithm to ensure that even high frequency peaks are accurately detected. The FM technology


One of the ‘warmest’, crisp, and clear Frequency Modulation engines in the world, owes its sound to the precise calculation of the digital signal. Due to high-resolution DSP processing, it produces sound with an extremely low noise threshold; something that most FM engines cannot offer. The Toxic Biohazard sound was built from the ground up, via our own unique mathematical calculations and analog-modeling techniques.


The Oscillators


Completely alias-free, and well tuned for all sampling rates, they produce a rich, "fat" sound all across the spectrum. Due to the high quality of the anti-aliasing process, users will not encounter the shredding noise on high frequencies that has plagued FM synthesis in the past. Furthermore, the oscillators are calculated at extremely high speeds, keeping your CPU usage to a minimum. Toxic’s low CPU consumption affords the user plenty of room for external processing and running multiple instances. The oscillators also come equipped with Maxx Claster’s own powerful spectrum analysis technology. This allows the user to create his or her own waveforms, via the simple process of loading a WAV or AIFF format sound file. All of these features make the oscillators very flexible, and allow for the use of both synthetic and acoustic waveforms within Toxic. Each oscillator also comes with 32 built in ‘classic’ waveforms, each shown to be the most useful in FM synthesis.


The Effects


Made to assure high quality and flexibility is built into the synthesizer its self, Toxic Biohazard aims to reduce the need for external processing altogether! The effect modules are designed to give the user access to several types of effects, from aggressive, tube-like distortion, to warm stereo delay, reverb, flanger, and phaser effects. With our own pro-quality tape delay emulation, based on non-fixed delay buffer sizes, instead of the usual methods incorporated within digital delays, our delay lines give you warm sound, with ”true“ feedback and modulation. Lastly, the signal chain features an analog-modeled, parametric equalizer to further shape your sound. The EQ provides access to crisp, clear high-end definition, creamy mid ranges and earth-shaking low-end frequencies. The Toxic Biohazard effect modules expands its palette of sound to include everything from dark, atmospheric textures to razor sharp leads, fit to slice easily through any mix.


The Filter


Maxx Claster's own analog-modeled, multimode filter is reminiscent of a certain silver box of old. Garnishing a warm, resonant Low-Pass mode, a smooth Band-Pass setting, and a creamy High-Pass mode, Toxic Biohazard gives a wealth of control over tone. The filter is further enhanced by modulation via a dedicated envelope generator and low frequency oscillator, as well as responding to velocity information and keyboard tracking. These features allow for extreme sound shaping, as well as subtle nuances attributed to dynamic playing.


The Sequencer


Powerful, yet simple, the sequencer offers a total of 64 steps, which can be divided into two independent, 32 step modules to allow double-polyphonic patterns. Using our own "Smart Sequencer" technology, when a chord is played, the module defines that chord, and tunes the pattern accordingly. The sequencer also allows for pure playback of the programmed sequence from single notes. Simply holding one chord can virtually create an arrangement for you!

every VST2 host. Although many programs read REX files or
ACIDized WAVs they are sometimes a little inelegant, slow or
simply don't give you the level of control you require. These
'sliced' loops offer so many amazing advantages everyone should
be using them regardless of which sequencer you use. SOLO let's
everyone 'join the party' without having to change your
sequencer!
SOLO allows you to control loops in two basic ways. You can load
loops and trigger them in sync with you host an octave either
side of their original pitch or turn off the loop and either
play the slices manually or export a MIDI file to your host
sequencer to play the loop for you. This method allows you to
edit the loop in any way you desire on your favourite sequencer
a really quick and easy way to work if you like to add fills
to loops on the fly for example. Beyond that you can use
SOLO's powerful filters to twist your loop into whatever shape
you want. You can also control everything in real-time using
MIDI.
